When I first heard of the Proust Questionnaire I was like ‘’ what is this’’. So, then I read over the questions and thought that it seems interesting. While reading and answering these questions I also learned something about myself. So, while learning somethings about me…I hope that you will also be able to think and learn something about yourself. Enjoy. The Proust Questionnaire The Proust Questionnaire __1. __What is your idea of perfect happiness? My idea of perfect happiness is being able to practice my religion freely without someone saying I’m oppressed. __2. __What is your greatest fear? I have the biggest fear of spiders! I hate when they come down the web and they do this thing with their legs. Yuck. __3. __What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? I don’t like my attitude. I think that is the worst trait that I have. I can get angry fast. __4. __What is the trait you most deplore in others? I don’t like someone who lies. That is the most annoying thing. I would rather be hurt by the truth. I also don’t like someone who is not straight to the point. Like don’t beat around the bush. __5. __Which living person do you most admire? I admire my mother. My mother has been through so much and is so strong. She is so polite and even when she is upset she is soft spoken. __6. __What is your greatest extravagance? Food. I spend a lot of money on that. __7. __What is your current state of mind? Focused. I have some goals I am trying to meet, and I gave myself a set time to meet them. __8. __What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Waiting to get married. I feel like life is too short just to be someone’s girlfriend. Why give yourself to someone just to be nothing more than a girlfriend. So, a man will say I’m not ready for that type of commitment…but will allow you to be with him for 10 years talking about girlfriend. __9. __On what occasion do you lie? I would like to think that I am an honesty person. But I do know that I do lie when I say I’m going to call someone back that I do not feel like talking to. Lol. __10. __What do you most dislike about your appearance? My tummy. I need to lose my stomach once I lose that I’m cool beans. __11. __Which living person do you most despise? Anyone who believe that Muslim women are oppressed. __12. __What is the quality you most like in a man? I Like a man who is affectionate. Who is caring and loving. That is honesty. Someone who is caring when it comes to my needs and is also understanding of a women’s emotions. I also love an aggressive side. I like a little bass in his voice when the time is needed. (wink wink) __13. __What is the quality you most like in a woman? I’m not into women. but I guess to each is own. __14. __Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I use the phrase ‘’what’s its face’’ and also, I use the term jawn a lot. My husband hates when I ask him to pass me the what’s it face. ‘’He is like what is that?’’ __15. __What or who is the greatest love of your life? I have a few loves…first is Allah (god) my religion helped me to be the person that I am today. I was very different but Alhamdulillah (all praise id due to god) I have changed and grown a lot. Another is my family my husband and my daughter mean a lot to me. I have my mother and siblings and my father but those two are all I really need. __16. __When and where were you happiest? When I found out that I was going to be a mother. I was 15 years old in the nurses’ office and even though I was very young I was still excited. __17. __Which talent would you most like to have? I would like to be flexible. I am not flexible what so ever. __18. __If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My attitude…it really sucks, and I get pissed off quickly. __19. __What do you consider your greatest achievement? Getting my high school diploma and going back to school to further my education. __20. __If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? __21. __Where would you most like to live? I would like to live in Mecca or Medina basically close to the Ka’ba. __22. __What is your most treasured possession? I have a heart with my deceased daughters foot prints inside of it. That is the only thing that I have left of her. __23. __What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? When my daughter passed away it was the worst feeling in the world. __24. __What is your favorite occupation? I’m going to say a nurse only because I will be going into that field god willing __25. __What is your most marked characteristic? My smile. I have what some people call ‘’the woo’’ effect. I have this effect on people once I smile and talk it’s like people just love me. __26. __What do you most value in your friends? Their honesty…I like that they tell me what I need to hear other than what they think I would like to hear. __27. __Who are your favorite writers? I don’t know because I do not really read novels. __28. __Who is your hero of fiction? I laughed at this I guess I would say the X-Men. __29. __Which historical figure do you most identify with? __30. __Who are your heroes in real life? __31. __What are your favorite names? I have two names that I like right now at this moment and that is Charlotte and the name Suliman (Solomon). __32. __What is it that you most dislike? People with hidden agendas. Just be straight forward and not use people for what you want to gain from them. __33. __What is your greatest regret? Can’t say because I’ve learnt from those mistakes…so no regrets. __34. __How would you like to die? I wouldn’t to be honest but we all must go. __35. __What is your motto? Everyone loves to see you do good…but not better than them.

The answer you gave for 23 really hit me. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love, when I lost my dad, I was destroyed. However the thought of losing someone you love that you have watched grow and change, I can't imagine it.

I can truly relate to your number 23 answer. I lost a child of my own due to a miscarriage. That was a really hard thing to get over. I cried so much and still until this day I wonder 'Why and Why Me?"
